Tools for Agile Software Development
From Devsummit08.aspirationtech.org
Facilitated by User:Nateaune.
In this session, we will discuss various agile software development tools that help facilitate the software development process with project schedules, issue trackers and version control systems. We will survey the open source project management tools such as Redmine, ActiveCollab, ClockingIT, hosted solutions such as Basecamp, MyIntervals and Unfuddle, as well as commercial tools such as Mingle, Rally and Jira.
After surveying all of these tools, we will explain why we decided to develop ClueMapper, an agile project management tool built on Trac. ClueMapper is an open source project management tool that helps software development teams stay on track. Built on top of Trac, a popular Python-based issue tracking tool, ClueMapper makes it easy to create new Trac projects, including the subversion repository, and manage all the projects from a single Ajax-enhanced dashboard.
